This winter has been quite mild for the Town of Kernersville and the Piedmont Triad as a whole since the season began. Most recently a rainstorm came through that embraced the entire area with inches of rain. The local meteorologists had been preparing residents all week for the coming storm that threatened severe weather across the area. It came and dropped inches of rainfall across the area and caused massive problems for homeowners. The Piedmont Triad has received substantial rainfall since the year began which left the ground fairly saturated. Properties located in flood zones were taken over by inches of rain that at times came into dwellings causing a real headache for property owners.
